Privacy Policy

This policy explains what FatFIRE Woman (fatfirewoman.com and plan.fatfirewoman.com, together “the Site”) collects, why, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted. The Site is published under the pen name “Veronica.” It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to veronica@fatfirewoman.com. This Site is intended for United States residents.
1. What we collect, and when

2. What we do with it
- Run the Site and keep it secure.
- Send you what you asked for: a calculator result, a checklist, a letter, the newsletter.
- Understand which pages and tools are used, in aggregate, so we can improve them.
- Reply when you write to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use Analytics data for advertising and do not run advertising networks on the Site.
3. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-77TVKW1Z68 on fatfirewoman.com, G-LTWV6SC5JV on plan.fatfirewoman.com) and Jetpack Stats. These set cookies and record pages viewed, device type, and approximate location. Google states that Analytics 4 uses your IP address to derive approximate location and does not log or store it. Google (Analytics) and Automattic (Jetpack Stats) may collect information about your activity over time and across other sites that use their services; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser; the Site’s pages and calculators still work. Calculators store nothing in cookies. The “Email me my result” box remembers for 30 days, in your browser only, that you already used it.
We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no agreed standard for them. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising networks.
4. Who else handles your data
These companies process data as our service providers, each under its own published privacy policy: NixiHost (web hosting), Cloudflare (security and content delivery), Google (analytics), Automattic (Jetpack Stats, Akismet, contact form), Beehiiv (email newsletter), Supabase (database for plan.fatfirewoman.com), Anthropic (AI drafting for plan.fatfirewoman.com), Resend (email delivery for plan.fatfirewoman.com), and, when paid products launch, Stripe (payments; we never see your full card number). We do not share your information with anyone else except as required by law or to protect the Site from abuse.
5. plan.fatfirewoman.com, specifically
Your answers are personal. Here is exactly what happens to them. They are stored in our database. An AI service (Anthropic’s Claude) reads them and drafts your letter in Veronica’s voice; under Anthropic’s commercial terms it may not use them to train its models, and it retains them only for a limited period for abuse monitoring. Letters are not individually reviewed before sending unless you request a longer letter, which Veronica writes. Veronica may read your answers to review the service or to reply. We use answers only to write back to you and to improve the service in aggregate. They are never sold, shared with advertisers, or quoted anywhere without your explicit written permission. Your answers may include health or emotional information you choose to share; we use it only to write back to you and delete it on request. The letter is not therapy, counseling, or financial advice. You can delete everything you entered at any time with the “Delete everything” link, which removes your session, answers, and letters from our database; copies held by our service providers expire within about 30 days. If you asked us to email your letter, our email provider (Resend) retains sent-mail content and logs for a short period under its own policy, and the email itself remains in your inbox under your control.
6. How long we keep it
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops emails; deletion removes the record.
- Contact form messages: until you ask us to delete them.
- Calculator result emails: not retained on our server beyond our mail provider’s short log-retention period under its own policy.
- plan.fatfirewoman.com sessions: until you delete them.
- Server and security logs: for a short period under our hosting and security providers’ policies.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 data is retained by Google for up to 14 months.
7. Your choices and rights
Anyone, anywhere, can ask us to tell them what we hold about them, correct it, or delete it. Email veronica@fatfirewoman.com from the address in question. We answer within 45 days and do not charge. We will never treat you differently for making a request.
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link in the footer. The Friday Signal and any calculator-result email are sent only to people who asked for them.
California residents: this policy is our notice under the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not sell personal information and have not sold any in the preceding 12 months. Nevada residents may direct us not to sell covered information by emailing veronica@fatfirewoman.com. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (including New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others): the Site is below the thresholds at which those laws apply, but we honor access and deletion requests from everyone regardless.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the database and email lists is limited to Veronica and the service providers listed above, and we use two-factor authentication on our key accounts. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top and, for material changes, say so in the newsletter. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
